Physio Art is a group of physiotherapy and sports injury clinics delivering high quality physiotherapy and Pilates teaching within Birmingham.
We have a mission
Our aim is to enable you to understand your injury or pain, so that you can take an active part in its treatment.
It's all about control! We want to put you in the driving seat you see. Once you gain a better understanding of the factors that are driving your pain, or causing your injury, you will be in a better position to take an active role in managing it or curing it.
We do this by taking a lot of time on your initial session finding out about you, your injury, its history and its behaviour and how it makes you feel. (That last bit is important, how you feel about your pain has a huge effect on how your pain feels)
We aim to be the absolute best at what we do. We do this by continually updating our skills and knowledge by going on training courses, by talking to and training each other and by reflecting on our practice so far and modifying it according to both the current literature and also our clinical experience.
We take a very holistic and patient centred approach to managing pain and injury. We promise that we will openly listen to your pain story, and consider all the factors that may contribute to your pain or injury's persistence. We are absolutely commited to ensuring you fully understand what is causing the problem you are having, and we believe we have the skills necessary to empower you to make the changes needed to reduce your pain and make a full recovery.
Physio Art was established in 2003 by Sarah Duncton, back then working as a one man band from a spare bedroom at home. The Practice practice grew quite quickly as a result of satisfied patients recommending their friends and family.
We moved to The University Medical Centre in 2005, and started to create good links with the GP's at the practice and other health professionals, and so a network of loyal referrers was formed.
We have gone from strength to strength, with the addition of a Practice Manager and more physios and Pilates teachers. We have set up good links with personal trainers, fitness companies and sports clubs.
Why choose us?
Take a look at our testimonials to see! We are kind, caring, fun and take a very positive approach to managing pain and injuries. We wont fix you, but we'll work with you, so that you can learn how to fix yourself.
