Chiku Chilufya

I’ve combined my passion for sports and healthcare into my career, beginning with earning a BSc in Sports Therapy in 2016. My initial work in lower league football and various gym settings built my expertise in managing athletes and health enthusiasts. After advancing my education with a master’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2019, I transitioned my skills to the NHS, where I’ve garnered varied experiences across Neuro, Medical wards, Trauma, Orthopaedics, and now specialising in musculoskeletal care. I’m particularly adept at assessing complex cases and managing patients with multiple co-morbidities, excelling in post-operative care for orthopaedic patients and strength and conditioning. My journey highlights my dedication to clinical excellence and broadens my scope as a physiotherapist.

I believe in a holistic approach to patient care, tailored to meet individuals at their current level of health and well-being. By integrating a comprehensive treatment regimen that includes education, personalised advice, targeted exercise prescriptions, and the specialised technique of acupuncture— for which I have undergone extensive training—I aim to address the root cause of health issues, not just the symptoms. My practice is dedicated to empowering patients through informed choices and innovative treatments, ensuring a path to recovery that is asunique as they are.

I am currently doing a masters module in first Contact Practise, to advance my skills within primary care and my ability to screen for medical causes that may present as MSK conditions. Outside of this course – I am a keen on fitness, I love boxing, and have a strong affinity to weightlifting. I enjoy socialising with family and friends and going on as many holidays as I can!

  • Testimonials

"The physiotherapy service I’ve received at Physio Art from Ruth has been absolutely life changing. I’ve never been stronger, more mobile or more aware of my own body. The exercises in the app have been easy to follow and remember, and more importantly I’ve been able to step down from more invasive treatment for my back and get back to work."

    KATY WILLITTS

  • Testimonials

"Sophie has helped me rehab a long standing shoulder issue resulting from overuse of playing tennis and other racket sports. She was quick to identify the condition, gave an accurate timeline of recovery and helped my put in place various exercises over the next few months to get to a state where I can exercise and play sports free of the pain again. I'd highly recommend Sophie and Physio Art."

  • Testimonials

"There is nowhere else I would go than Physio Art. My 11-year old son had an emergency appointment with Adhip for a very painful lower leg and he was absolutely brilliant. His knowledge and advice was excellent and the results began to show during the appointment. Every physio we have seen there has been highly professional, incredibly helpful and so kind. "

"I have complete trust in Sarah whom I have seen on a number of occasions for different problems. She always listens intently and delves deep into my experience so I feel completely confident in the course of treatment she recommends. I love that she is so good at explaining what is affecting the problem and often there is more at play than just the mechanics of the body. Any consultation with Sarah is fascinating as well as healing!"
